Juno is another success story. Born with Canine Megaesophagus (ME), she came into rescue at nine months very emaciated and unable to keep her food down.

mystiOn New Year’s Day, 2011, during a stormy, tornadic afternoon, we took a trip to a small town just outside of St. Louis to visit with a man who was fostering Mysti, a 2 year old Weimaraner that came in to the rescue as a stray. Little did we know that we would be meeting the best dog we could have ever hoped for!

moses1My beautiful Weimy boy, Moses, was rescued from 5A’s over in Alton. I got him when he was one and he is now nine. He has a compressed disc in his back, so we have regular physical therapy exercises that we do.

Miley and Atticus

Atticus-1I am a double adopter – once by plan and once by sneak attack. Miley I had just moved into a new home on five acres, so I planned to adopt a second Weim to keep my Arabella company. After my first choice was scuttled (because the foster mom had fallen so deeply in love with her foster that she could not let her go), I decided on Miley, a two-year-old female.

allieAllie (Ali) is a great dog. Within two days of picking her up for fostering she became a part of the family. Allie loves to spend time on her very own chair, loves long walks in the neighborhood. She especially likes to go for rides on the pontoon boat.

dixonDixon was adopted 7/26/14, he fit right in as soon as he met his new family in Michigan. Dixon never had an anxious moment. It was love at first sight when he laid eyes on his new female sister Breeze. They play, take naps, and go on daily walks together.
